Wear a white robe to show your faith in Jesus Christ
The Book of Mormon begins with Lehi's encounter with the man in the white robe and the Book of Revelation tells of a great multitude in white robes, having overcome the world by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimonies. At this time, you too are called to wear a white robe in order to bring the entire world unto Jesus Christ.
My name is Tom Tomeny, and I am on the ballot in this year's general election for Governor of Utah on November 5. My main campaign site is letgodgovern.com.
When elected, the Utah Constitution directs me to appoint my Lieutenant Governor. My plan is to appoint a Church leader, as directed by the First Presidency. I will then resign so the Church leader will be Governor. The result will be the restoration of the original vision for Zion, when Brigham Young was both the spiritual and temporal leader of Utah. If the First Presidency declines to get involved, I will serve as Governor and convene a counsel of wise Elders to assist me in every decision, including the Lieutenant Governor selection.
Jesus, during mortality and as our risen LORD, wore and wears a white robe, often with a red sash. And His command is, "Follow Me", therefore all true Jesus followers, of all faiths, are called to wear a white robe daily, as a testimony that Jesus Christ lives in them, as they live in Jesus Christ, as stated plainly in the Bible, in John 14:20. "At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you."
True Jesus followers, of any faith tradition, are those born of the Spirit by the baptism of fire or on the Way to being so. Have you received the baptism of fire?
I have been wearing a white robe daily for several months now. This photo of me skiing at Park City is an example, and actually a scriptural one:
"We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised." 1 Corinthians 4:10
Yes, I look the fool in my white robe. Yet every person who rides the lifts with me all day long gets to hear the story of the Book of Mormon and Lehi's dream with the man in the white robe. For many, this is their first exposure ever to the Book of Mormon, even as it has been over 35 years since President Benson directed the Saints to flood the Earth with the Book of Mormon. Imagine how you too can spread the Book of Mormon daily as you wear your white robe or, if you are not a Latter Day Saint, yet, how you can tell others how to overcome the world through, with, and in Jesus Christ.
And believe me, if you desire attention, there may be no better way to get attention. People constantly remark on the white robe no matter what the setting is. It provides the perfect opportunity to stand always as a witness of Jesus Christ!
As I write this section on 3/12/24, I have just learned that my "campaign costume" accords with a prophesy of Joseph Smith, "You will see the Constitution of the United States almost destroyed. It will hang like a thread as fine as a silk fiber.... I love the Constitution; it was made by the inspiration of God; and it will be preserved and saved by the efforts of the White Horse, and by the Red Horse[10] who will combine in its defense."
